Krajputaši are stone memorials raised by the roadside for those who were killed or died far from home, most often in the wars of 1876–1918. Dragačevo has one of the richest collections of these markers, with carved figures of soldiers and epitaphs. The krajputaš is a uniquely Serbian form of remembrance.
