A memorial complex at Orašac where, on Candlemas (Sretenje), 15 February 1804, an assembly of Serbian notables in the Marićević gully decided to rise against the dahis and chose Karađorđe as leader. Sretenje is now celebrated as the Statehood Day of Serbia.
