Lesnovo Monastery

The endowment of Despot Jovan Oliver, a great nobleman of Emperor Dušan, consecrated in 1341. It is dedicated to the Holy Archangel Michael and Saint Gabriel of Lesnovo. The frescoes of Lesnovo, including illustrations of the Psalms, are among the summits of Serbian painting of Dušan’s age.
