Ostrog Monastery

A monastery carved into the cliff of Ostroška Greda, founded in the 17th century through the efforts of Vasilije, Metropolitan of Herzegovina. The relics of Saint Basil of Ostrog rest in the Upper Monastery. Ostrog is one of the most visited Christian shrines in the Balkans.
