Pridvorica Monastery
Pridvorica, Ivanjica, Moravica District · Serbia
The single-nave Church of the Transfiguration, built at the end of the 12th century, at the same time as nearby Studenica, is a typical example of the Raška school of architecture. Tradition holds that it was built by a courtier of the Nemanjić court, which gave the monastery its name. Nemanja’s charter to Studenica mentions it as a convent, and remains of frescoes survive in the upper zones of the church.
