The Cathedral Church of the Ascension, seat of the Eparchy of Timișoara of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The Baroque church in the old centre of Timișoara, next to the Bishop’s Palace, bears witness to the centuries-long presence of the Serbs in the Romanian Banat.
